Description of Metadata used by PicApport

PicApport automatically recognizes if metadata of photos has been changed or new directories or photos have been added. If many photos have been added a directory scan may take several minutes.  

The following table shows the metadata used by PicApport’s full text feature. Duplicates will be eliminated

All metadata marked in the corresponding column are collected and processed as follows

  1. The following special characters are replaced by blanks:  /, \, semicolon, comma, dot(full-stop), :, -, _, ‚, „, =, %, &, (, ), {, }

  2. Words with less than 3 characters as well as doublets are eliminated
  3. The file extension $[extension] will be added.
